Ghetto: Architectural Oppression
“Ghetto” From the opening to the closing sequences, Julien Lafleur’s sombre images increasingly reveal the harsh architecture of select North American slums, leading you, the outsider, into the heart of a cold, rarely seen world. A world too often and too simply referred to as “Ghetto.”
Set to original score by two-time Juno nominee Brian Kobayakawa, the narrative focuses the isolating physical environment of these commonly overlooked neighbourhoods.

Joining The Circus!
Together with Open City Works, Image Control is going to Guatemala!
Julien Lafleur (Image Control) and Arturo Perez-Torres (Open City) left Toronto on October 31st 2008 to join the circus "Hnos Ponce Circo" for most of the month. This trip is the first of series of journeys that will be used to document (photo and video) the everyday of the circus life. The final product, expected to complete production by late 2009, is entitled “The Last Show on Earth”. Click here to view pictures.
